Titanium — The Gold Standard
At XS Piercing, we exclusively use Implant-Grade Titanium according to ASTM F136 — the same material used in medicine for bone and joint implants. It is the highest standard for jewellery that is inserted into the body.
Titanium offers decisive advantages over other materials:
- Biocompatible — not recognised by the body as a foreign object
- Hypoallergenic — virtually no allergic reactions, nickel-free
- Ultra-lightweight — significantly lighter than steel or gold, comfortable to wear
- Corrosion-resistant — does not discolour and does not rust
- MRI-compatible — generally does not need to be removed for MRI scans
- Variety of colours — available in various colours through anodisation (gold, blue, purple, green, rainbow)
Why not Surgical Steel?
So-called "surgical steel" (316L) contains nickel and can trigger allergic reactions. Silver and ordinary gold are also unsuitable for fresh piercings, as they can oxidise or cause allergic reactions. Titanium is and remains the safest standard.
Available Styles
Barbells
Available as Straight Barbell, Curved Barbell (e.g. for navel) and Circular Barbell (horseshoe). Various ball and end designs available — from simple to ornate.
Rings
Ball Closure Rings (BCR) with captive bead, Segment Rings with seamless closure and Clickers with hinge closure. Ideal for septum, daith, helix and many more positions.
Labret Studs
Flat back for comfortable wear. Perfect for lip, Monroe, Medusa, tragus, conch and helix. Various tops available: balls, discs, crystals, opals and more.
Microdermal Tops
Interchangeable tops for microdermal anchors. From subtle flat discs to sparkling crystals to individual designs. Easy to change once the piercing has healed.
Plugs & Tunnels
For stretched earlobes in various sizes. Available as Flesh Tunnels (hollow) or Flesh Plugs (solid) in titanium and other materials. Sizes from 3 mm to 30 mm+.
Speciality Jewellery
Nostril screws and L-shaped pins for nose piercings, industrial barbells in various lengths, and specially shaped pieces for daith, rook and other positions.
Sizes & Gauges
Piercing jewellery is available in various gauges (thickness) and diameters. The correct size depends on the piercing type and individual anatomy.

Gold Options
Premium jewellery in 14 karat or 18 karat gold (yellow gold, white gold, rose gold). Recommended only for healed piercings. Delivery time depending on the model 1-3 weeks.
Gemstones & Crystals
Jewellery set with genuine gemstones (diamond, sapphire, ruby) or premium Swarovski crystals and opals. Available as tops for most jewellery types.
Custom Designs
Individual pieces made to your specifications. From special shapes and sizes to personalised designs. Talk to us and we will find a solution.
Custom Lengths
Not every anatomy is the same. We order jewellery in custom lengths so your piercing fits optimally — neither too tight nor too loose. Especially important for navel, tongue and nipple piercings.
Included in the Piercing Price
The initial jewellery made from Implant-Grade Titanium is already included in the piercing price. Upgrades to gold, gemstones or custom pieces are available at an additional cost. Ask us about it during your consultation.
