Not every piercing fits into a standard category. At XS Piercing Basel, we understand that body jewellery is an expression of individuality, and sometimes the vision goes beyond the ordinary. Whether an unusual placement, a project of multiple piercings or a creative combination of different piercing types: We realise your vision professionally and safely.

Special piercings require a detailed consultation, as each individual placement brings its own challenges. We take the necessary time to find the best solution for your project together. In doing so, we equally consider your anatomy, your daily life and your aesthetic wishes.

Individual placements

Sometimes clients desire a piercing at a location that is not covered in the common categories. Perhaps you have a specific vision for a body location that you have not seen anywhere before. At XS Piercing Basel, we carefully examine every individual enquiry for:

• Feasibility: Is the desired location anatomically suitable for a piercing? Are there important nerves, vessels or structures that need to be considered?
• Longevity: What are the healing prospects at this location? Is there an increased rejection risk? Which jewellery type is best suited?
• Daily life: How does the piercing affect your daily life, work and sporting activities? Are special precautions necessary?
• Aesthetics: How will the piercing look in motion and various body positions? Does the placement suit your overall aesthetic?

Multi-piercing projects

Some piercing projects consist of multiple individual piercings that together form a greater whole. Such projects require particularly careful planning, as each individual piercing must be precisely placed to make the overall picture harmonious.

Examples of multi-piercing projects:

• Curated Ear: A thoughtful combination of various ear piercings (helix, tragus, conch, rook, daith) that together create a harmonious overall picture. We plan the entire project in advance and pierce the individual piercings across multiple sessions.
• Microdermal arrangements: Multiple dermal anchors that together form a pattern, e.g. a star constellation on the decollete or a row along the collarbone.
• Symmetrical sets: Pairs of piercings arranged as mirror images, such as snake bites on the lip combined with angel bites, or symmetrical surface piercings.

For multi-piercing projects, we recommend not having all piercings done simultaneously. Two to a maximum of three piercings per session is generally advisable, as otherwise the body becomes overwhelmed and healing all piercings at once requires considerable resources.

• Select the jewellery and materials in advance

Prices

The costs for special piercings vary depending on complexity, placement and quantity. During the consultation, we create an individual cost estimate for your project. As a guide:

• Individual piercings at unusual locations: from CHF 100
• Curated ear projects: Depending on scope and number of piercings
• Microdermal arrangements: Tiered pricing from the third anchor

All prices include titanium initial jewellery (ASTM F136) and aftercare consultation.
